The Origin of the Toothpick Doll

My Grandmother used to do cross-stitch. Lots of it. When she died, she left behind several thousand miles of embroidery floss. My mom, my aunt and I split it up. This is the result.

The dolls are made of toothpicks all wound up in embroidery floss. My tools are scissors, glue and toothpicks. They are about 4 inches high. Some of them take hours, some only minutes. Sometimes I make people that I know, sometimes I make people that I wish I knew. Sometimes the work is commissioned but mostly it's just for fun.

New dolls are being added all the time, so don't forget to check back later and bring your friends.

I love your dolls! I make toothpick dolls as well, it's neat to see someone else do them. I'll be checking back to see more. If you'd like to see mine, check my blog - I'm adding new ones all the time, too. This is great - I've been wondering if anyone else made these!

Hi,

I have a message for the webmaster/admin here at www.massivecoolness.com.

May I use some of the information from your blog post right above if I provide a link back to your site?

Thanks,
Charlie
